Our Commitment to Accessibility
Alaska Public Media is committed to providing content that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our platforms and to adhere to industry standards and guidelines.
On alaskapublic.org, we are working to meet many of the standards set forth in the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1.
While we work toward these goals, we want our audiences to know that some parts of the website will not be able to meet the standards, for example, some of the older content in our expansive archival library. Technical limitations may also restrict or impede our ability, but we strive to meet all standards within our capabilities and capacity.
Alaska Public Media is continually improving our accessibility experience. During this process, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the website or content, please contact us at webdev@alaskapublic.org.
