Senator Begich made a very disturbing comment saying that this person says this is in the bill or this is in the bill when in actuallity he does not know if those provisions are in the bill. I have one comment for Senator Begich. Read the billl. You obviously have not done your homework.

Does Senator Begich represent the wishes of the people of Alaska or just his party?

It appears Senator Begich does not represent the people of Alaska, nor does he care what Alaskans want, as he does not want to represent the wishes of the people of Alaska we should do a Recall on him or at the very last make him just a 1 term Senator

    Thanks Senator Begich!
    Keep up the good work.
Glad to see someone works for the interests of the people of Alaska.

Of course there are some Alaskans who want 100% socialized medicine - But I believe the majority do not. The gov't needs to get the Job market back on track by encouraging business - That will get people working and with that comes health insurance.. As Usual, they are focusing on the wrong thing - IE trying to convince us that its in our best interests to let the Govt take care of Everything. (Nanny State. No one has Anything. The govt controls all $$$)
The govt wants to start Taxing us NOW but this program won't begin until 2013?? And - they expect us to believe they will put all that cash aside to pay for the health care program when it starts?? RIGHT! Wake Up people!

The way he misled the people over the finances in Anchorage in order to pad the pockets of special interest is reason enough for me to want him recalled. I think he should be out of a senate seat for the millions he stole from the people to give to the unions as payback for their support is more than enough reason for a recall.

Senator Begich was too busy getting Nancy Pelosi's coffee to actually have time to read a bill. This is not the first time he has punked the wishes of Alaskan's and likely wont be the last. But, I do say I will do everything to make sure he is a one term Senator and then bounced!

Senator Begich apparently has never had an original thought. Or, if he has, he has kept it well-hidden. He's not even considered one of the moderates. Sen Landieu was able to garner $300 million for Louisiana just by being coy. What has Mark achieved for Alaska by his "me too" approach? Sadly, if Sarah wants to be Senator, she will have no trouble toppling MB. Great. Dumb and dumber.

We do not need socialized medical care!!!

That was not such a nice thing to do. Neither was spending more than $40 million on a bridge that will most likely not be built but our "leaders" insist on spending the entire appropriation in their efforts to drain even more from the public' coffers to pay for the benefit of relatively very few.

I suggest that people read I.O.U.S.A. We have become a nation of borrowers. Mark Begich did the same thing that his predecessors did and our current mayor of Anchorage is doing. Politicians just keep borrowing more money and paying more to the lenders so long as the notes come due far enough into the future so most voters will have forgotten how their city or state or country got into such and awful mess. It is a big shell game of moving the money around from one account to the other to cover up the financial sins of the ruling class. Just postpone it until after his term or office is over or he has been elected to higher office and then let the next mayor deal with it. More to the point, drain everything you can from the public treasury and throw enough crumbs so they think you are actually doing something for them. It seems to be a lesson learned from Alan Greenspan who worshipped Ayn Rand. Bernanke, a disciple of Greenspan and Hank Paulson, (all Goldman Sachs boys) has stated that he will keep printing more money. Our dollar keeps slidingin value. We will most likely have a new world currency within another couple years at best. The government sources tell us that we are 13.4 trillion dollars in debt. In acutality, we are more than 40 trillion dollars in debt.

Well, I see only one out of ten comments agree with Begich ! We do NOT need obama's health care plan.
  • pinksugar
Unfortunately, Congress has been instructed that Barry doesn't care what America wants, HE wants to control all the health care dollars in the country, and he wants Congress to 'pretend' to listen to us for a little while, Then shove it down our throats and make us pay for it..
So - Next election - ANYONE who voted FOR this health care bill, Pay Attention and Vote Them OUT!

Mark, What happened to I will not vote along party line's????? I say we recall his votes!!!!
  • Mike B.
How arrogant Senator Begich, cram health care down my throat exempt yourself. Can't wait to work against your reelection!

Thank you Lisa Murkowski for voting consistent with the majority of Alaskan people. It is a shame to see your vote nullified by Mark Begich. I do not want to see the Senate pass legislation that puts me, my family and our neighbors further into debt than we already are. Doing so is a criminal act. This government was formed by people who knew that the government should be operated under the concept of what was in the best interest of ALL PEOPLE and not by special interest groups. Unfortunately, the politicians in Washington are stealing our birth right and our futures. Lets vote Mark Begich out of his job. Power to the common man.
