palin-150Is the proliferation of ethics complaints in Alaska a warning sign of political divisions to come?

In a nearly unprecedented step, Governor Sarah Palin (R) is expected to step down on Sunday, saying it’s the best thing for the state. Among her reasons: it’s costing the state too much money to defend complaints against her.

The next Talk of Alaska is your chance to weigh in on what you think those ethics complaints mean.

What standards are we entitled to expect from our public officials?

The fashion since two days after she was chosen amongst the press was to bash bash bash Sarah Palin. Ridicule, ineffective reporting to explain that S. Palin st up th eethics complaints procedures which ARE being abused by those who are against what she stands for ...LIFE, motherhood, a large family AND career. A healthy beautiful and very fit sporty energetic liberated woman and the fems bitch because she is not a politically correct marxist abortionist. EUGH I have become right wing because her detractors are SO awful and unfair that i must be on her side.

Ushi, I had no idea there were such people as you describe. People who are against Life, Motherhood, Large families and a career. I have not met anyone like that.
Being healthy, beautiful, very fit, sporty and energetic and liberated are all very nice things, but they are not qualifications to be the President of the United States. I would not vote for a politically correct marxist abortionist? if there was one running either. Nobody wanted her to be that.
Look, I am a woman- if Sarah Palin had come up from humble beginings, had been a gifted student, graduated with a law degree from Harvard,[ voted editor of the law review] wrote two excellent books[without a ghost writer!] A respected State legislator,, professor of CONSTITUTIONAL LAW, a Senator, had some ideas that made sense to me- I would have been right behind her. All the way.
Get real . It would be great to have a woman- but she has to be an extraordinary woman,[or man!]. Sarah is not smart enough for the job, and I don't want to say you are lying about it "making you become right wing" , but maybe you are lying to yourself. Our country needs an extraordinary person to lead at all times, but especially now. We have done the right thing, The pick of Sarah as running mate for Mcain was a BIG mistake- pandering to womenfolk is insulting to our intelligence
