if sarah palin cant cut the cheese for alaskans how can she cut it for the rest of america? we dont need quiters for presidents. if elected into presidency, is she going to put in 2 years and then come up with a good excuse to not be president? not only is she letting down all the alaskans who voted for her but brings up some questions, just speculations, does it have to do anything with the bet she made with the governor from s.c. who had an affair with another woman? or maybe north korea is scaring her because the missles might hit alaska and she wants to move somewhere else? one thing i know is you dont quit on the people who voted for you unless you have done something bad. think about it alaska. think real hard. president? i dont think so quiter palin.

YOU are a typical mouth piece for the regime trying to destroy our country and people with the intent of undermining the support of those who will protect and fight against you.

Truth be told, you and your kind and scared silly of a real leader who is grounded and ready to go toe-to-toe with you.

I support Palin and millions of others do too. You should be scared.
  • Sarah
who is scared? That makes no sense at all. Don't feel bad that you elected a quitter who can see Russia from her house. Has she not said enough bull for you to realize she is an idiot. For real? You can't be serious! Pride is a nasty thing, I can smell your arrogance from here.

You just don't get it. It isn't about Sarah, it is about Alaska. Sarah ran on fiscal restriant. If her presence is creating a climate that is costing the state money, then she is going to protect her state. You might try and be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. sarah palin is a strong leader with an enormous amount of common sense and genuine concern for the welfare of others AND possesses the know-how about steps needed to bring about relief and growth for all americans. i support her decision.

Be careful. The stress of the govenors office is nothing to the stress of the white house.Even a hockey mom cant hang with that routine. So please write a book or do something else great as you can.Let the BIG PICTURE be in their heads, not yours. We liked you as a govenor and person.
  • While Sarah Palin does make some legitimate points in her recent resignation speech, she also shows her lack of understanding of the world as I know it. As she stated, "I've been accused of all sorts of frivolous ethics violations -- such as holding a fish in a photograph, wearing a jacket with a logo on it . . ." Even the best of politicians are attacked from many sides. For her to play the role of victim is unfortunate. Oftentimes, true victims must gain sufficient power to overcome great obstacles in order to stay alive and keep their loved ones from harm. There are women, children, and men in Darfur who have been forced from their homes into refuge camps that are being burned to the ground by the Janjaweed militia, leaving them with nothing to do but flee to the border of Chad (one of the poorest countries in the world) or die. It is silly to focus on trivial details in regard to Mrs. Palin, but I find it even more foolish for her to even acknowledge or defend them. Criticism can often be viewed as constructive feedback if one so desires, or ignored. What makes a person have a bad hair day: the self-confidence of the person who has the hair, or the hair itself? As for what she will do in the future? Well, tomorrow is promised to no man, woman, child, baby, fetus, or embryo. I do find it reassuring that Mrs. Palin has chosen to focus more on her family. I believe that she deserves positive recognition for this decision on her part.

For all the critics........You do what she has done and raise a family at the same time. Lots of single parents can relate to Sarah. She is still choosing to do what she feels is best for her state.

i apoligize for my outrage towards the governor. i was just disappointed that she resigned. she is a good person and i should have kept my hands from writing such nonsense. i hope the best for the governor and do apoligize again.
  • Sarah
I don't think you have a thing to apologize for. You are one of the only posters here that told it like it was. She is a joke! She should apologize to the State, the Country, and Prez. Obama for her antics, loud mouth assaults, and ethics violations. She is not only a joke for the world to laugh at, but a dumb broad to boot.

Pretty good words from a person who can't identify themselves. you are probably one of those people who live in the lower 48 and have never been to Alaska to visit or live here. Amzing you are like the News Media folks that visited Alaska and were all hot for Sarah who couldn't find the Denny's and you were sitting right in front of it.

    secession time!

Quitter is spelled with two t's, as in our governor is a quitter.

God Bless Palin, Her love for God is awesome and was for the world to see. She is one of the smartest women iv seen and had the best of humor. Hope she comes to Texas someday
  • Sarah
If she is one of the smartest women you have seen, then your bar is pretty low. I suppose you think GWB is the smartest man you have ever seen. Get over yourself and learn to call em like you see em. She is a failure to the Great State of AK and we deserved waaaaaaaaaay better from her than the way she acted on the campaign trail. What a laughing stock she has made Alaska. And as far as her loving God, that is to be debated.

This Disabled Veteran does not believe in the Q word and Sarah Palin is not the Q word eiither. Let me know when you can take the reigns, gentlemen, of caring for your children and keep Alaskan's in the top 5 states remembered by Gov't politicians, Honestly!

Sarah's private life is none of anyones business. Her job is all that you can touch and there are no stains on her record or for that matter the FBI as was told by the FBI. Everything that people so boldly say about sarah not paying for, she has and still is unlike other political nightmares that have given our state a bad rap for thier illegal practices.

This Disabled Vet is still standing beside Sarah for what she has done in the past to make Alaska better.

The Govenor made a committment to Alaska when she took office. She should have finished her term, not jumped ship. Give me a break the back stabbing, dig into your past to make you look bad is todays politics. STRESS! Tough it comes with the JOB. What about the stress of the citizens of our nation. When we are loosing our retirement cant afford to pay tuition costs, medical costs, mortgages, and cannot afford the basic neccessaties. I am sorely dissapointed that she let the nay sayers kick her tail. put your apron on and get back in the kitchen.
  • DAV56
Losing your retirement and all of the rest of your list is not Her problem, you should have planned ahead for this and any other issue back before this all happened. It was not HER that got these issues people are stuck in. A lot of people don't realize that it all started with them the people complaining, I learned many years ago to plan ahead for the unthinkable instead of going out and buying things that they really could not afford so they can blame it on the Government setbacks. Remember it's a government for the people, by the people so the only blame is to blame ones self for the predicament they are in. Did you think about what would happen 4 terms ago of presidents and congress when you selected your choice who would represent you. I personally don't want to pay for ethics violations of untruths that she is getting blamed for that was not even her. She left to save State Money not rest of the US. Going to meetings that people just sit around and play footsies and creating no real work for the people that elected them into office. I think it was smart for her to get away from that. I think instead of complaining about why she got out of office that you as an Alaskan should pay for her bills. She's paying for yours. And are you a caveman? your comment is the most sexest remark I have seen here so far. So Cave person go to your cave and help your spouse instead of walking over the line.
  • NO QUITTERS
The excuse that quitting will save Alaskans money defies logic. Somebody will still have to be be acting as govenor flying around and collecting a pay check. OK, maybe we save some by not paying Sarah to work at home any more.
Putting Alaska first? Then why won't she grant interviews to local media?
Now that the recession is rearing its ugly head in Alaska wouldn't it have been a whole lot smarter to have put surplus money aside instead of using it for her vote-buying "energy rebate"?
I didn't vote for Sarah but I was willing to give her a chance anyhow - she blew it.
I also say good riddance to the quitter!
  • DAV56
Would you allow an interview when you are out with your family having your family time. Interfering with your personal life when you were out fishing. You would probably call the cops because people were hounding you 24 x 7 and you have no time for your self. The only Quitters I see are the peple who are ridiculing without knowing the whole story. If the new told you to jump in the river with an anchor around your waist, you would right?
