The 33rd Annual Conference of the Center for Oceans and Law Policy is underway at the Marine Education Center in Seward. The conference in previous years has been in Singapore, Germany, and Ireland. Organizers say it’s an attempt to bring together people from a variety of fields such as law, science, and politics to discuss the status of oceans.

That is great for the small town of Seward. I wonder if they can handle the influx of people for this?? Oh I forgot, they handle the Mt. Marathon Race crowd...Sometimes 40,000 or more so they can handle most anything. Good for them. Not like Seward needs to be on the map. It is a great little town with lots of charm and flavor and beauty. Kudos!!!!!

Seward, AK is a unique environment for the study of the oceans. With the Alaska SeaLife Center and UAF Marine Center both being based in Seward the talent, resources and research is there for everyone to see and study! It is time that world realizes this and begins to take advantage of this beautiful and diverse area!
