Unfortunately, you failed to mention that in southern penninsula predator control program - wolf pups are also targeted in the den. You also failed to mention that in Novemember the ADF&G released an employee policy statement allowing employees to kill pups in the den in the future.

Wolf population estimates are based on the most minimam scientific standards, antecdotal information provided by the very pilot gunner teams promoting and conducting aerial predator control. These are private citizens, not biologist, and often, commercial hunting guides that profit from high big game populations. They are heavily biased toward promoting further predator control in the areas the operate. Indeed, even the population estimates of the big game species are often minimal. Trend counts are extremely low quality and yield the lowest confidence level in the scientific management options.
