Former U.S. Attorney for Alaska Wev Shea has been an outspoken critic of corruption within Alaska politics. In this longer — 12 min. — version of the interview that ran in Alaska News Nightly (July 29), Shea says there are possible implications for Ted Stevens’ son, former state Senate President Ben Stevens. Shea also says much of this corruption links to the state Republican party.

Shea says the fact that Ted Stevens was President Pro Tempore (third in line to the President of the United States) during the raids on Alaska legislative offices 2 years ago indicates that the Justice Department had been working all the way up the chain of command in Washington, DC before the raids began.
