Young people out to change things often find themselves ignored — until they organize. And these days that’s exactly what they’re doing. Decision makers who say they support political activism by the young may find that belief tested as the Internet gives new power to organizing youth. We chat with four young Alaskans organizing for political action and take your calls statewide.

As an advocate for suicide prevention awareness, I find it most uplifting to read about positive steps a group of young people can make. I just had a reception of four college students who made their way from Waco, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska in 77 days raising awareness on suicide prevention. If you look at http://www.alivecampaign.org you can read some of the concerns the young people across the country have towards suicide. I hope to see more young people get on my band wagon for such a worthy cause — life!
