The question I and most Alaskans would like answered is when this proposed energy rebate would be issued to qualifying Alaskans and how will it be issued? All this talk about it, but there is no real information on it, and there are many who could use the money now. Thank you for your time, Kelly Schilling
It was a huge surprise that I got a letter from the Federal Government stating that since I still have a student loan I can’t have the $300.00. I knew that I couldn’t fight that. Now our Legislators are considering it’s own energy rebate. I’m on Widow’s Disability and pay into the State all of the check each month. I’ve had to actually stop buying food for 3 weeks out of the month. I have a full tank of gas that I got two months ago….I dare not drive. Now I’m wondering if the possibility of getting help via the energy rebate if our Legislators passes the Bill. I avoided filing for Bankruptcy in hopes of my financial situation enabling me to pay off the loan but it seems trying to do the right thing is only going to bite me in the future. I pay the higher prices at the store at the gas pump so why should I be entitled to at least some of the rebate? I have ended up in the hospital twice in one week last month because I haven’t been eating enough. My neighbors have been so generous and stopping buy with some food but I can’t keep accepting as they are also having a tough time with the high costs of living. I just needed to let someone know what happens when you intercept special rebates from people at the bottom of the food chain.
I think a rebate would be great for us Alaskans that work hard but don’t make much and what we do make goes into our gas tanks and it goes to our gas and electric bill doesn’t leave much for our children or food if needed I am all for it.It will help us Alaskans that work very hard but can’t make ends meet. Please those of you or the companies that are against the rebate need to be silent and help the alaskans that are struggling just to provide for our children my husband works for Providence Hospitol and has for 7 years we have seven children and we just moved to the valley this last fall and the commute is the worst when the gas prices go up every week to every other week we could use thisto help with bills and gas.
