The Alaska Natural Gas Development Authority – established by voters in 2002 – last night presented its plan for getting gas to markets in Alaska. Chief Executive Officer Harold Heinz said the project would be cheaper and quicker – and would deliver a low-cost fuel supply to most Alaskans.

Seems appropriate that all considerations in developing a plan to harvest and market ALASKAN Natural Gas should be aimed at providing primarily for ALASKAN markets, then assuring that proceeds from exports be used to ease the ever increasing costs on rural Alaskans that cannot get or use Natural Gas.
In Bush ALASKA, we are rapidly being forced to either abandon ventures due to near-criminal pricing of fuels and utilities or seriously cut-back our already meager lifestyles. For instance, the local Electric and Telephone COOP here in Dillingham has taken virtually no initiative in developing methods by which to reduce consumer costs or improve their own production efficiency.
The Natural Gas that is slated to be harvested and exported to points elsewhere can really be a true part of the solution of OUR Alaskan Energy Crisis.
