Talk of Alaska: The Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA)

Posted in Talk of Alaska
We’ve had some illuminating shows with ConocoPhillips and the Alaska Gasline Port Authority about competing plans for pipelines to deliver Alaska’s natural gas to market. This time we’re giving listeners a crack at the Governor’s gasline team.Only one bidder — TransCanada — could satisfy all the terms in the Governor’s process for promoting a natural gas pipeline. Is one bidder enough, or do we need a new process? This week we feature the Governor’s gasline team. As they prepare for public meetings across the state this month, they’re here to talk to you first.
GUESTS:
- Pat Galvin, Commissioner, Alaska Department of Revenue
- Marty Rutherford, Deputy Commissioner, Alaska Department of Natural Resources
