Kempthorne: Polar bears unrelated to Chukchi Sea oil and gas leases

Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne today rejected the idea of putting Wednesday’s Chukchi Sea oil and gas lease sale on hold until he decides whether to list polar bears as “threatened” under the Endangered Species Act.

    Just how much more time does he think they have to wait for him. Is he going to wait till they are all gone and he has to describe them to his grandchildren ( or great) as great mythical beast that humans let die off when it was totally preventable. And then try to explain that it was HIS decision!!!
