Should Legislature pass Constitutional Amendment for gas tax certainty?

Fairbanks Representative Jay Ramras is looking for industry and government input for a Constitutional Amendment he’s sponsored. If approved by the public, the amendment would allow the state to guarantee tax certainty to producers who send natural gas from the North Slope to southern markets.

    Tax certainty, what fatuous idiocy. All us taxpayers are producers, Jay, or has that notion escaped you? The day tax certainty on my property means anything more than “up” is the day I’ll take you more seriously than the rest of the 604 gang. And I say that in a loving way so my comment will be published and not discarded as yet another cynical acknowledgement of the 604 gang takin care a their own.
