The fastest ways to curb greenhouse gas emissions and counter the high price of fuel are to use less fuel or find an energy source that costs less. This week we take a look at new directions in energy. The Governor proposes investing part of the oil tax surplus into renewable energy. What do you think should be the next step for energy?

People seemed to like the “nuts and bolts” nature of this program. The suggestion that public radio start a regular show on the theme of energy has attracted a number of dittos. That might help us specialize more.
1) Steve, any chance you can resume posting a heads up about next week’s show? I know sometimes the topics change at the last minute, but it does help folks to either post questions or the very least to make sure to tune in.
2) Nuts and bolts about erosion and relocation would be good too, as much of that is driven/impeded by energy (why does Alaska keep building inappropriate energy pieces and infrastructure instead of *human ecological systems*– analysis, evaluation, design, implementation, analysis…?)
