Critics are taking aim at Alaska’s airborne wolf hunting program again. Today, California Democratic congressman George Miller unveiled what he calls the Protect America’s Wildlife (PAW) Act. It would clarify the 35-year-old federal Airborne Hunting Act to clamp down on wolf kills in Alaska.

This act is like an baby sized t-shirt on a sumo wrestler. It doesn’t fit the nation as a whole. As part of the food chain the wolfs are making other animal numbers increasing low (ie. moose), while the wolf population is flourishing. And why should a congressman from california have a say about airborne hunting in alaska. This should be dealt with by the alaskan supreme court. This is why federalism doesn’t work.
