The bailout plan for the Nikiski fertilizer plant involves groundbreaking new technologies for coal gasification and carbon equestration. In other words, the plan is for it to be carbon-neutral. Join the conversation about whether coal is the way to go into a renewable energy future as we chat with Jeffery Greenblatt, a scientist with Environmental Defense. We will also have a pair of guests from Alaska Youth for Environmental Action to pitch their upcoming summer workshop, for which rural youth are especially encouraged to attend.
